Family Space Quinte Inc. is a multi-service child and family organization which supports children, families and educators throughout Hastings County. Our Resource Consultant Program supports children with extra support needs to be actively included in EarlyON & Licensed Child Care Programs throughout Hastings County. Consultants provide information, consultation, coaching, education to educators to support children in their environments. Our program provides services in a comprehensive and flexible manner that supports the principles of inclusion and the values and priorities of families. A comprehensive job description is available and is part of this position posting upon request. Highlights of expectations include:

• Working within licensed child care and EarlyON settings to support the reflective practice of the educators and leaders throughout Hastings County.
• Working in partnership with the RC Coordinator in the planning, facilitation of professional learning.
• Providing supports to families in determining the strengths of their child. Assisting the child care program in the development of a Family Service Plan to reflect the priorities of the families, and the needs identified in early learning and child care programs.
• Collaboration with community partner agencies to assist the educators and families with the goals for the child.

Educational Requirements
Registered Early Childhood Educator in good standing with the College of ECE’s

• Resource Consultant Certificate/DSW or equivalent
• Current Standard First Aid & CPR

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Knowledgeable, responsive, reflective
• Participate in continuous professional learning opportunities
• Two year’s experience in the service system supporting children with special abilities
• Knowledge and experience with the principles and practices of family centred approaches to service delivery
• Leadership experience and sound knowledge of the principles of adult education.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong technological skills for the development of Family Service Plans and coordinated service planning and resources.

Must have valid Ontario Drivers License and reliable car. Full time position will be 35 hrs per week with an annual salary of $44,169.00. Flexible hours will be required which will include working evenings and weekends.

Permanent position has full comprehensive benefit package with matching RRSP.
