RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

Base office: Bracebridge, Parry Sound, Huntsville or Sundridge

Job Status: Permanent

Hours of work: 28 – 35 hours per week

Purpose of the Position:

The Resource Development Coordinator (RDC) is responsible to enhance and support the implementation and maintenance of a comprehensive Resource Development Program which supports the Mission, Vision, Core Values and Principles of the Agency. The RDC is responsible for fundraising activities, public awareness, public education, and special events planning on behalf of the Agency and the Board of Directors

Requirements of the Position:

  • Post-Secondary Education with courses related to Fundraising, Marketing, Social Media and

Public Relations and a minimum of two years related experience.

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office applications, and Web design
  • Understanding of the mental health and addictions sector an asset.
  • Experience in working with difficult or fast-paced situations
  • A strong commitment to the rights of individuals with addiction and severe mental illness
  • Manage internal and external relationships, to have and demonstrate empathy and compassion, to be aware of emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and the understanding of the feelings, ideas and beliefs of others.
  • The ability to work independently as well as work as part of a team
  • Ability to use and learn new technology (computers, software programs, phones, printers/scanners, alarm/security systems etc.).
  • Work mobile and flexible hours throughout the districts of Parry Sound and Muskoka
  • Willingness to work evenings/holidays and weekends if required
  • Indigenous cultural awareness; Indigenous education in as asset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Clear Criminal Records Check, including Vulnerable Sector Screening.
  • A valid Ontario G or G2 driver’s license and a safe and reliable means of transportation
  • Bilingual in French an asset.

Salary scale: $25.85 - $29.51 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience
