The Fisherman’s Market in Burnaby is looking for new part-time crew members to join our team as we head into the busy summer season. We are looking for an energetic, trustworthy and charismatic salespeople who can keep up with our busy day-to-day tasks.

Daily tasks include:

- Processing fish and various seafood products
- Giving world-class customer service to our guests, including educating them on the fishing industry, what our products are and where our products come from (We will provide training, prior knowledge is an asset though not required)
- Store cleanliness as laid out in opening and closing procedures
- Cash handling and use of POS system
- Lifting boxes up to 50lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time

Store hours are Tuesday thru Sunday 10:30am to 5:30pm, closed Mondays

Part-time, permanent position

Salary: From $17.00 to $21.00, depending on experience

Our story started out in 2002, when the first Fisherman’s Market was opened by owners Adam Pearl and Geoff Austin, lifelong fishermen looking for a change but with deep roots in the fishing industry. After 9 years in Nelson, the Fisherman’s Market expanded to Kelowna in 2012 with the addition of owner Cory Siegner. Our group of markets continues to grow with shops in Kamloops, West Vancouver, Gibsons and Kelowna. As our operations expand outwards, we are always looking for the perfect people to add to our Fisherman’s Market family.

With a large team of motivated, driven and committed managers and crew members across all the shops, the wealth of knowledge we can share with the right people is endless – communication across the board is encouraged, strong working relationships with out other shops is what helps us move forward as a company.

Training on all things fishing and seafood related will be provided by your manager and others where applicable. Knowledge of the fishing industry, fish processing, products we keep and seasonal availability will all be taught.
