Cattle only RVT or Experienced Vet Assistant – strong team / excellent clients:

Bow Valley Livestock Health is looking for a new bovine exclusive RVT or Vet Assistant to join our team. At Bow Valley Livestock Health, we are trying to bridge the gap between cattle nutrition and health, and by doing this we hope to provide our clients with the best advice.

We are hiring a full-time RVT or experienced Vet Assistant to complement our team in Brooks, Alberta. Our current team includes 14 bovine practitioners and nutritionists across our 3 locations (Coaldale Veterinary Clinic and Taber Cattle Clinic included). We are in search of an individual who has a passion for the cattle industry and would like to pursue a career within. Having previous work experience and an understanding of the cattle industry is an asset. We primarily service cow-calf clients and some feedlots and dairies. Our RVTs/Assistants are utilized extensively on farm for data recording, processing, and various technical duties. In addition, there are in-clinic duties revolving around reporting, prescription management, and reception duties.

Required: successfully graduated from an accredited Animal Health Technology college program and RVT licensure with Alberta Veterinary Medical Association. If you do not have an RVT license but have years of experience with cattle, your application will be considered. References are required.

Salary: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
