AlumaSafway is currently recruiting Scaffolders for our Fort McMurray sites.

Scaffolders erect and dismantle temporary work platforms or structures that safely hold workers, tools, equipment, and construction components.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Scaffolders provide other trades with safe, secure access to areas both indoors and outdoors.
• May be required to plan and order on-site scaffolding materials.
• Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed, and on-site client relations are positive.
• Scaffolders work mostly outdoors at a variety of locations, extreme heights, and all-weather conditions.
• Must be able to work in Confined Space areas as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3rd year Apprentices and Journeyman Scaffolders
• Basic math skills and the ability to follow instructions
• The ability to work at heights
• Must have physical strength and endurance, lifting up to 50lbs
• Be able to wear a safety harness once trained

SAFETY COURSES REQUIRED:

• CSTS V9 / OSSA Regional Orientation and or CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
• OSSA or Canada Energy Fall Protection
• WHIMIS 2015
• OSSA or Energy Canada Confined Space
• PPE AND TOOLS:
• Provide your own scaffolder tools and belt
• CSA approved work boots

This is a unionized position.

This is not a Fly in and Fly out position.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Pre-Access Alcohol and Drug Test prior to mobilizing to site.
