Security Guard Job at Bishop's Cellar
Bishop’s Cellar, a private wine shop located on the Halifax waterfront, is seeking a security guard. Bishop’s Cellar has been providing world-class wines to Nova Scotians since 2003.
Job Title: Security Guard
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a courteous, friendly manner as soon as they enter the store
- Check customer ID's as required
- Prevent unauthorized entry and politely direct disruptive individuals to leave the premises
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have
- Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed
Requirements:
- Must be 19 years of age or older
- High school diploma is required
- Must be able to speak, read and write in English
- Required to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to pass a background criminal records check
- Previous security-related work experience preferred
- The successful candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with others
