North American Protection Services is seeking Full-Time Security Guards for the GTA. The successful applicant may be required to work at a wide variety of sites, including but not limited to: construction sites, commercial properties, retail properties, condominiums, etc. The successful applicant will have at least six months of security experience.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Security Guards are required to monitor and patrol Client property. Depending on the site this may require, but is not limited to sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs.

Work Site Environment: Indoors / Outdoors

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Protect the safety of persons and their belongings on the property.

• Prevent and minimize fire, flood, theft, vandalism, criminal damage and trespass on the property.

• Prohibit entry into secure areas of the property of anyone other than authorized persons as determined by the Client.

• Assist and support police and fire dept. as per policy.

• Monitor and provide appropriate response to security consoles (scanners, access control, alarms, CCTV video monitors, etc.).

• Respond to and provide leadership in emergency situations (e.g. medical emergencies, fire, evacuation, flood, etc.) and support other life safety duties as required.

• Maintain log of security incidents and report occurrences.

• Other duties as required / requested.

All Applicants Must:

• Possess a valid Ontario Security Guard license.

• Be available to work ALL SHIFTS - days, afternoons, nights & weekends.

• Have a working cell phone with text and data capabilities.

• Be able to read, write and speak English.

• Be neat and presentable.

• Have excellent customer service skills.

• Be dependable, responsible, organized and punctual.

Salary: $15.00 per hour

• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• Weekend availability
