We are recruiting for a passionate and experienced Security Site Supervisor for rewarding role based at a public transit site.

The position will see you managing two teams as part of our contract with West Coast Express. You will be required to perform site visits as part of your daily role, for which a vehicle will be provided (pick up at Pitt Meadows Station)

Shift times: Monday to Friday 5am till 1pm

Some of your responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing two core teams – Station attendants and mobile patrol security services
  • Providing superior customer service to clients and the public
  • Conducting frequent vehicle and foot patrols
  • Assisting Station Attendants with property maintenance and fare checking
  • Ensuring specific emergency and alarm response procedures are followed
  • First responder in building emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies
  • Investigating and reporting incidents promptly and accurately
  • Maintain up-to-date Post Orders and Site Safety, Risk, and Quality Assurance assessments
  • Submit reports, time sheets, and staff evaluations
  • Oversee training and scheduling of Commissionaires
  • Leading through empowerment, and monitoring staff morale, discipline, and progress
  • Ensure team maintains a professional standard of conduct, dress and deportment
  • Liaise with the client to ensure their instructions are carried out as per written policy
  • Contacting management in situations not covered by Post Orders

Your Must-Haves:

  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • Valid BC Security Licence
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public
  • Positive and professional attitude, with strong customer service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent multi-tasking, prioritizing and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle emergency situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Fluent English written, verbal and reading skills

Your Nice-To-Haves:

  • Minimum 5 years residence in Canada
  • Experience working with unions and/or in a public transit environment
  • Fluent French would also be an asset
