Sr. Business Analyst for a
Contract opportunity.
Role: The Sr. Business Analyst (herein referred to as “Sr BA Decomm”) will assist in developing an overall Decommissioning Intake process and Decommissioning Delivery process as part of the Decommissioning Practice. This will include liaising with key business collaborators and the Records Management team to understand immediate and long-term requirements, such as data architecture and database administrators, technical and application management teams, enterprise architecture team members, infrastructure teams, QA and PMO teams to update project delivery methodology.
Responsibilities:
Role: The Sr. Business Analyst (herein referred to as “Sr BA Decomm”) will assist in developing an overall Decommissioning Intake process and Decommissioning Delivery process as part of the Decommissioning Practice. This will include liaising with key business collaborators and the Records Management team to understand immediate and long-term requirements, such as data architecture and database administrators, technical and application management teams, enterprise architecture team members, infrastructure teams, QA and PMO teams to update project delivery methodology.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that a Project Lifecycle (from Initiation to Closure) is driven based on the current PMO policies and framework as defined in the PMO website
- Managing the projects from initiation to closure with a committed goal of delivering on time, on budget, scope complete with a high level of quality and business satisfaction
- Coordinating and managing the team members working on the project
- Working with Operations and Departmental managers to request and obtain required resources to meet results
- Managing all funds spent, this includes maintaining a detailed current view of budget, actuals and forecast numbers
- Developing and implementing required Test Plans to ensure high quality results
- Providing transparency into project health through published schedules, regular status reporting, and current budget and forecasts
Qualifications:
- Experience in application, data, infrastructure decommissioning, or data and information governance.
- Application experience with legacy technologies and systems: ERP systems (especially JD Edwards), Financial systems, Asset management systems, Maintenance management systems.
- Industry experience: Mining or mechanical asset intensive industry.
- Degree or diploma in either business or information systems would be beneficial.
- Formal Scrum or Agile training (e.g. SAFe® Scrum Master (or Advanced Scrum Master), Certified Scrum Practitioner (CPS), Professional Scrum Master (PSM1 or PSM2) or Certified Scrum Coach (CSC)).
- Experienced in working with geographically dispersed collaborators and development teams.
- Knowledge and awareness of Cloud (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) as well as a solid understanding of DevOps (preferably MS Azure).
- Ten years experience within the IT business analysis and application management disciplines. Certification in any of these would be beneficial.
- Five years application management / solution delivery experience ideally with ERP type implementations.
- Two to three years experience in data analysis and data transformation.
- Two to three years solution delivery using Agile methodology, tools and techniques.
- Business Analyst qualifications or proven business insight and ability to build strong business relationships.
