Term: Full-time, 3-year contract

Hours of work: 32- 40 hours/week

Job duties:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Demonstrate professional and positive image to guests and colleagues at all times, including maintaining a high standard of professional appearance and hygiene at all times.
• Deliver prompt, excellent service to ensure an exceptional guest experience both in the restaurant and banquet areas.
• Assist in the setup and break down of banquet event setups
• Offer helpful guidance with menu offerings, responding knowledgeably to questions.
• Efficiently complete prep and side work to enable focused guest care and maintain an orderly, clean station during banquet events
• Periodically check in to ensure guest needs are met, then graciously present an accurate check and collect payment at the conclusion of the meal.
• Following all safety and sanitation policies
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

• Completion of secondary school
• Must have current Serving It Right certification

Requirements:

• Must have prior experience as Server in large restaurant/resort in Canada (2 years minimum)
• Must have operational knowledge of English (CLB 4+)
• Must be able and willing to stand for 8-10 hours each shift
• Must possess the ability adapt to flexible schedule (including weekends, holidays and evenings)
• Must have full mobility in continuous quick-paced work environment, capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds and pushing food carts up to 100 pounds.
• Must have excellent client-oriented service skills
• Must have positive attitude and work well in a team environment
• Beer, wine, and spirits knowledge with the ability to make recommendations to guests is an asset.
