What you will be doing:

  • Welcome Guests quickly, efficiently and warmly making the best possible first impression
  • Take initiative to add a personalized experience for the guest
  • Take ownership of guests’ requests, while ensuring exceptional service
  • Other duties as assigned
Expected start date: Immediate Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Salary: $15.67 per hour with performance increase after 6 months

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Demonstrate a warm and professional attitude when interacting with all guests and co-workers.
  • Arrive for your shift ready to work, and in your full uniform including nametag. Uniforms are the employee’s responsibility to purchase after the 3-month probationary period.
  • Be knowledgeable about our dining menus, drink menus and daily features.
  • Work efficiently and maintain a clean work environment at all times.
  • Be effective in communicating with all other departments in the Restaurant.
  • Keep the restaurant clean and tidy, as this is the first thing our guests see when they walk in.
  • Ask questions when you are unsure how to do something. If a guest asks you a question you are not sure the answer to, let the guests know you are unsure and you will get back to them.
  • Follow our company’s policies and procedures at all times.
  • Upsell menu items wherever possible. Be aware of products we are out of and our daily soups and features.
  • Complete shift check list during each scheduled shift.
  • Responsible for coffee service set up and clean up when required.
  • Be accurate and consistent when taking and inputting reservations.
  • Provide consistency in our service standards and ensure the quality of our product is being met.
  • Work with the front of house team to create the best possible dining experience for our guests.
  • Strive to always provide the best service to our guests.
  • Function and bar set up, service and clean up.
  • Ensure you are checking the reservation book at the beginning, during and end of your shift.
  • Deal with any guest complaints in a calm and professional manner. Pass along all complaints to the management team.
