The Self-Awareness Recreation and Entertainment (SHARE) Coordinator will, under the general direction of the Clinical Manager, drawing on their own skills and experience, provide advocacy and support services to a person living with mental health problems and will participate in the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programs and services for individuals, families and the community.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Experience as a mental health consumer
- Courses related to mental health would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated fiscal and budgetary responsibility
- Leadership in planning and facilitating social recreational and life skills opportunities for peers
- Ability to provide peer support to the program members
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated knowledge regarding symptoms of severe mental illness
- Self motivated and ability to motivate others
- Demonstrated knowledge of community of Renfrew County and issues concerning individuals living with serious mental illness
- Demonstrated computer software application skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Valid class G drivers license
- Bilingualism (French/English) is preferred
