We are currently looking to add a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to our growing team in Brantford, Ontario.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details
  • Accept and document packages and deliveries made to the facility
  • Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise
  • Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Examine outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Arrange imports and exports of products and supplies
  • Arrange transportation of products and supplies.
  • Purchase supplies as required
  • Communicate and report to management on supply levels
  • Coordinate with production to ensure supply levels
  • Coordinate quality control program and track test results
  • Track sales to locations and customers
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in a related role
  • Experience with rail shipping is a benefit
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills and professional judgement
  • Exceptional ability to work independently
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion at the same time

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
