At Zuma, we specialize in providing service, parts and sales for boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telehandlers. While prior experience with this type of equipment is beneficial, it is not mandatory. We understand that management skills and experience are more important, and we will provide you with the necessary resources for product training and familiarization.

As a Service Manager at Zuma Lift Service Inc, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise daily activities of an 8-bay mechanic shop and field service currently comprised of 7 technicians and a service writer
  • Hire, train, and supervise mechanics and other shop personnel to ensure that all work is performed to the highest standards.
  • Maintain inventory levels of parts and equipment, and manage budgets and financial performance for the shop.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and implement improvements as needed to ensure that all customers are satisfied with the service provided.
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer complaints, ensuring that all issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed and that the shop is in compliance with all Worksafe BC regulations.
  • Continuously stay updated with the latest technology and maintenance techniques to improve the quality of services provided.
  • Create and manage the schedule of maintenance, repair and overhaul of the equipment and vehicles.
  • Manage the financial aspects of the department, including budgeting, forecasting and forecasting parts, labor and equipment costs.
  • Create estimates and invoices for service customers. Ensure deposits and final balances of all service bills are collected.
  • Ensure the parts are ordered and received from the parts department in a timely manner.

To be considered for the Service Manager position at Zuma Lift Service Inc, you should have:

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Extensive maintenance and leadership experience
  • 4 years service and maintenance experience and a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Strong motivational and leadership skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L
  • Basic computer skills
