Shop Helper / General Labour Job at Fort Fabrication & Welding

$35,000–$45,000 a year
Responsibilities:
- Assist the welders / fabricators on the shop floor
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop
- Moving tools, equipment, and other materials
- Cleaning work areas and equipment
- Assisting the parts department
- Parts runs, washing equipment
- General yard clean up and maintenance
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Previous general labour or shop helper experience in a similar environment
- Possess a mechanical aptitude and a keen interest in heavy truck equipment
- Welding experience an asset
- Valid Driver's License required
- Forklift ticket an asset
- Ability to lift at least 80 lbs., as the work will be physical on a regular basis
- Steel toe boots required
- Must be a hard worker, self-motivated with organization and cleanliness being the key focus
Salary:
- $35,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
