Shop Supervisor Job at NCIndustrial Limited
NCIndustrial looking for full-time experienced Shop Supervisor.
Must be reliable, organized and able to problem solve. The shop supervisor needs to have a “best for business” mentality. Keeping the workers safe while maintaining a high level of production is necessary to be successful in this position.
Responsibilities
- Create a daily lineup based on production objectives
- Oversee all shop work, assist, and train workers
- Hold workers to a high standard of safety, quality and efficiency
- Hold weekly safety meetings in the shop
- Assist with quoting shop work brought in by sales team
- Keep track of consumables and order replacements in a timely manner
- Open and close the shop daily Monday to Friday
- Create worker reviews, and address hazards identified by employees
- Maintain a clean and organized shop
- Assist with the ongoing shop expansion, setting up the machine shop and welding bay
- As needed, assist with production orders on the floor
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Supervisor or Lead Hand
- Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Strong communication and computational skills
- Red Seal certification in a trade is preferred
- Experience with crushers will be prioritized
