Beep beep! All aboard! Our Rapid Transit Shuttle Drivers transport our guests from our ticketing location at the Floral Clock down to the jet boat docks in Queenston. If you love chatting up people from all over the world and getting them excited for the ride of their life (and can drive a shuttle bus), then this is the perfect job for you! The ability to memorize random facts about Niagara to entertain guests during the drive is considered an asset.

The successful Shuttle Bus Driver candidate will be friendly, cautious, customer service focused. Must be reliable and have excellent communication skills and work well with our guests and staff.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Drive multi-passenger vehicle to transport Whirlpool guests and staff between Queenston docks and secondary meeting point/parking location. Pick up and drop off passengers at regularly scheduled locations, following strict time schedules.

• Narrate the history of the Niagara River using microphone equipment if required.

• Follow safety rules as passengers and staff are boarding and exiting buses, and as they cross streets near bus stops.

• Safely load and unload passengers onto bus; provide physical assistance if required

• Maintain knowledge of first-aid procedures

• Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.

• Check the condition of a vehicle's tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure that everything is in working order.

• Report any bus malfunctions or needed repairs.

• General tidiness and cleaning of interior of bus, grounds, parking lot,

• Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for passenger comfort

• Prepare and submit reports that may include the number of passengers or trips, hours worked, mileage, fuel consumption

Health and safety responsibilities:

• Understand and follow all company health and safety policies and procedures

• Responsible for the safety and well-being of 50+ guests per trip

• Passenger first aid

Ideal Candidate would have or acquire:

• CPR and recognized First Aid training

• Class C driver’s license

• Must be 25 years of age or older

• Abstract of driving record

• 3+ years of experience
