  • Prior experience within a health-tech, hospital, or health-related public sector agency

As a Solutions Architect on our team, you will provide technical design and thought leadership to our customers. You will lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solution architect community. Key job responsibilities
  • Customer collaborative “white board” designing
  • Small and large group presentations
  • Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around implementation projects
  • Defining both final and transitional architectures
  • Contributing to RFIs and RFPs
  • Developing and leveraging a deep expertise in AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform
  • Developing and leveraging expertise in healthcare solutions areas such as electronic health records, medical imaging, virtual care & patient engagement, interoperability, and clinical genomics
  • Serving as a strategic advisor to customers in defining and navigating complex technical roadmaps
  • Gaining industry recognition through participating at AWS and third-party technology conferences and trade shows
  • Understand the legal, compliance, security, technical, and procurement considerations and certifications specific to the public sector healthcare industry

A day in the life
You will be frequently riding on the "architect elevator". The role spans from assisting customer leadership in developing broad strategic goals and long-term plans across all aspects of the Cloud Adoption Framework, to working with technical contributors on solution design and architectural trade-off decisions, and connecting dots along the way.

You will further work with internal Amazon teams on the continuous improvement of our services and solutions within the healthcare space.

  • Knowledge of AWS services
  • Prior experience in a technical role within a sales organization
  • Demonstrated experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products using a structured system development lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of modern software development practices such as DevOps, event-driven architecture, microservices, etc.
  • Experience in developing IT solutions for a healthcare specific application area (ex. electronic health records, medical imaging, genomics, bioinformatics, interoperability, etc.)
