Some of what you will do
Reporting to the Sales Manager of Print and Technology, this individual will be responsible for supporting sales in the development and growth of Technology business by focusing on our mid-market and non-buying clients and using our quoting tools and profitability and pricing models. The Technology Support Specialist is responsible for supporting the technology team nationally quoting and sourcing products for existing Enterprise, Large and a high focus on Mid-Market Accounts. This individual may be required to review and respond to RFPs and RFQs.

Specifically, you will:

  • Responsible for the accurate product selection and pricing for all bids proposals and internal quotes
  • Utilize vendor portals
  • Review non buying client reports and actively contact and interact with clients
  • Educates and assists technology specialists on sourcing and quoting, pricing models and strategy.
  • Responsible for ensuring that sales margins on acquisition and retention opportunities are within prescribed levels.
  • Work closely with the technology team to develop the right strategy to be successful with profitable sales growth opportunities.
  • Makes recommendations to management and technology team on pricing strategies
  • Supports technology specialists and sales representatives on IT products, processes and buyers to increase their ability to access, persuade and close IT business
  • Assist team to achieve technology products revenue and gross margin targets in defined division while support the overall team budget
  • Achieve retention and penetration of technology products in existing OP accounts and new technology Accounts
  • Internal -Daily interaction with Technology Team, Sales managers, Director of Print and Technology, Pricing and Proposal team, outside sales teams, merchandising and purchasing team, requisition team, customer care team
  • External – client interactions, Interaction with technology vendors


Some of what you need

Education:
  • 2 years experience in similar role is preferred
Experience:
  • Related University degree is preferred, but not necessary
Technical Skills:
  • Technology Supplies background.
  • Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work within tight timelines, strong time management skills and ability to negotiate price, terms and conditions
  • Able to work independently while contributing to a high performing team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) and Windows.
