Convergint is currently recruiting for a Student Cabling Technician to join our growing team in our Moncton, NB location for the Summer 2023 work term. As a Student Cabling/Telecommunications Technician you will be responsible for reading and interpreting drawings as well as the installation and troubleshooting of voice, data and Wireless networks. Scope of work includes pulling wire through conduits and through holes in walls and floors.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

  • Install Structured Cabling
  • Install Structured Cabling Support System
  • Terminate Structured Cabling at the end user location
  • Terminate Structured Cabling at the Communication Room location
  • Test Structured Cabling with results and download to the test station i.e. Fluke
  • Label properly all the components of a Structured Cabling infrastructure

Requirements

  • Student enrolled in an electrical, electronics, computer programming, or related program.
  • Exposure to electronic, security, and/or audio visual technologies would be an asset.
  • Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada (for example, by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or work permit).
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
