Summer Day Camp Support Worker Job at Douglas Park Community Centre

$21.50–$23.00 an hour

Work closely with a 7 year old girl in a daycamp setting.

This camp has 2 other staff to meet the ratio of the other 20 children.

You will be working very closely with this child.

Establishing strong boundaries in a safe, nurturing environment will be a key strength.

Training as a Responsible Adult and/or ECE (Assistant) or training in Social Work would an asset. ECE license would be eligible for $4/hr Wage Enhancement.

Must have experience working with children that require additional support and have work experience in a childcare setting and/or working closely with a child that may have required additional support.

This camp goes on field trips so figuring out how to adapt activities in the program and activities on the trips to be safe for her will be key.

Vacation pay in lieu of time off

This position has the potential to continue into the school year as a permanent part time position.

Shift: Monday- Friday 9:30-5:30 Paid 8 hours/day(includes 1/2 hour paid lunch), 40 hours per week

First Aid Certification Required.
