Summer Student - Animal Care Specialist (Afternoons) Job at Semex

We are currently seeking an individual for the role of Summer Student - Animal Care Specialist within the Guelph production facility. The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of livestock care and be physically capable of handling large bulls. Hay, silage and manure handling are part of the regular job duties.
This position requires working an afternoon shift (2:30pm - 11pm) Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Semen Collection
- Feeding and caring for bulls
- Operating farm equipment
- Mechanical barn cleaning
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver's license
- Strong agricultural experience, including livestock handling & care
- Ability and experience operating farm equipment; solid mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
