About Momentum Montessori:

Momentum Montessori is a childcare centre located in the downtown area. We use a hybrid approach to learning including the Montessori, Play-Based and Reggio Emilia philosohies. We offer childcare to toddler, preschool and kindergarten age groups.

Type of role: Supply staff, shifts will vary depending on centre needs

Responsibilities:

• Implement a high-quality program in line with our child-led, play-based curriculum, under the direction of the Director, that supports and promotes the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
• Facilitating daily indoor and outdoor activities to enhance language, gross and fine motor skills, independence and problem-solving.
• Able to support program for a child-led, play-based learning environment
• Ensuring overall health and safety of the children enrolled in the program
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to change in the work environment.
• Dependable and flexible to work the hours/shifts of the centre
• Maintain cleanliness of childcare space and assist in organization of classroom learning materials
• Ensures all current ministry rules and regulations are being exercised at all times

Qualifications:

• C.P.R and First Aid certification
• Must be willing to have a Criminal Record Check and Medical check completed
• ECE Certification or Bachelors of Education from a recognized post- secondary institution would be an asset
• A positive and fun-loving attitude with the ability to work under pressure
• Must be enthusiastic and passionate about teaching and working with children
