A Support Worker is required to provide assistance as a casual employee to cover shifts Monday through Sunday. The duty periods can vary from two to five hours daily, either during the morning or evening.
Tasks include assisting one male living independently in his home daily with transferring and dressing/undressing. Some shifts also include assistance with showering and bowel routine, meal preparation and light housekeeping. Some shifts will include transporting him in his wheelchair-accessible van to appointments or assisting with shopping and completing errands.
The starting wage is $18 per hour, increasing to $18.50 after 90 days.
A Criminal Record Check and First Aid CPR Certificate are required.
Experience in the healthcare field is not required; however, it is considered an asset.
