Support Worker - Child/Youth Job at Communitas Supportive Care Society
We are looking for self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals who possess excellent teamwork skills to join our team. This position will provide care for youth with moderate to severe behavioral needs, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, in a group living setting. This position will provide support in all areas of living through participation in home and community-based activities. Through collaboration with a supportive staff team, you will create a place of belonging and help the youth and young adults develop their dreams, goals and life purpose.
LOCATION
Campbell River, BC

- Employees are expected to be available for shifts according to program needs. This schedule may include day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts.
- Applicants must be comfortable dealing with moderate to severe medical behaviors.

- 1 Temporary Part Time 24hr/week position
- 2 Permanent Full Time 32hr/week positions
- 1 Permanent Full Time 40hr/week position

Here's what we need from you:
- The ability to take initiative with creativity and flexibility
- The ability to work as a member of a team as well as being able to work independently
- Good written and verbal English skills
- Child and Youth Care Diploma. We provide in house training if you do not have this diploma
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Class 5 Drivers License
- Personal Driving Record
- Emergency First Aid Certificate
- Doctor’s Note of Good Health
- TB Testing Results
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
