SW 413 – Child Welfare Systems and Immigrant Families
The course will explore the various forms of social work knowledge, theories, values and skills when working with newcomer/immigrant and refugee families. The course emphasis will be to explore ways to support immigrant and refugee families, using both micro and macro approaches.

MSW plus experience related to course content.
Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Term Work Hours
This course is currently scheduled for Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
This course will be taught via remote delivery (via zoom).
Delivery method, dates and times are subject to change.
The summer term is July 4 – August 17, 2023 (excluding exams).
