Parkland Colony School located 20 km south of Nanton, Alberta is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta!

This contract will commence on August 28, 2023. Parkland Colony school is a grades K-9 school with approximately 25 students.

We are seeking a teacher who has;

• Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula;
• A strong understanding of outcomes based assessment practices;
• Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team;
• A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring and welcoming learning environment;
• A strong belief in parent involvement and communication including regular communication with home beyond the use report cards;
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills;
• An in depth knowledge of and experience with current outcomes based assessment practices and ability to develop multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to more traditional assessments;
• A passion for working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including Hutterite Colony students;
• An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioural, emotional and/or curricular needs within the classroom setting;
• Knowledge of teaching English Language Learners
• Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same;

Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
