Aston Carter's client in Richmond is looking to add a Technical Support Specialist (CSR) to their team. This 6-month contract can extend or move permanently. This is a fully remote role with a preference for working within the PST time zone.

Day to Day:

Reporting to the Triage Centre manager, the Customer Support Specialist will provide customers with level 1 product support over the phone. Success in this role will be defined by a strong customer-oriented mentality and the curiosity to learn about a diverse set of technologies. This role works closely with the break-fix technical support team, and opportunities exist to develop technical skills and join technical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service over the phone
• Search for qualified KB articles and provide related solutions
• Maintain an understanding of Avigilon software and products, including cameras, servers, and networks.
• Ensure all requests are tracked and maintained accurately in a case management system
• Balance hands-on guidance with self-serve resources
• Adhere to metrics driven performance

This team provides B2B tech support for their developed product -video surveillance camera, troubleshooting end users/customer network and hardware issues

Need to have experience providing external support providing remote Tech support with networking and electronic device issues

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service role
• experience providing remote tech support with networking and electronic device issues
• Exceptional verbal/written communication and time management skills
• Self-motivated and focused with a passion for technology and customer satisfaction
• Must be able to quickly learn and understand new ideas and concepts

Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience

• Contact center experience
• Degree, Diploma, or certificate in a related discipline
• Prior surveillance industry experience
• Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian fluency

Equipment- Candidate needs to have a working computer - the PC resources are limited. They prefer for the resource to use their own computer and they will get them to remote into a desktop at location to work.
