With work locations all over the city and most assignments easily accessible by transit, our Clerks and Administrative Assistants perform tasks like data entry, records management, customer service, reception, call centre, and many others.

If you have strong administrative skills including Google Applications and want exposure to different areas of the City of Edmonton, this may be the right opportunity for you.

Successful candidates will become part of Staff Support (internal staffing pool) and will be assigned to various placements based on the needs and operations of the organization

Qualifications:

Qualifications for our clerical/administrative positions:

  • Grade 12 OR an appropriate administrative certificate program
  • Minimum 1 year diversified administrative experience including but not limited to reception, data entry, call centre, meeting minutes and information processing
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Google and Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills are required
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to changing circumstances and responsibilities is required
  • Knowledge of SAP, Ariba, POSSE, PeopleSoft or any other City used programs are assets
  • Experience supporting project work is an asset
  • Experience as Administrative Assistant or Executive Assistant are assets
  • A Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton may be required for certain assignments
  • Shortlisted applicants will be tested in computer skills (including Google) prior to being invited for an interview

Hours of Work: Up to 8 hours per day, up to 5 days per week (may include weekends). These positions are on an on-call basis. Hours of work are not guaranteed and will vary based on business needs

Salary: $21.793 - $26.928 (Hourly)
