JCK Canada is looking for Tooling Pipe fitters to Work in Brampton and nearby site locations (IMMEDIATE START DATE). The nature of the job involves working closely with JCK site management on and ongoing basis regarding all matters in connection with the project site(s).

Key Responsibilities:

· Promote the business of the Company by excelling at customer care and satisfaction thus creating the platform for further sustained profitable growth.

  • Comply with the companies Health, Safety and Environment policies in compliance with the legal requirements.
  • In conjunction with JCK management, ensure that site Health and Safety is a priority on all project sites and that adequate steps are taken to facilitate a safe working environment for JCK operatives. Carry out audits of the respective sites, in line with the Company audit schedule.
  • Comply with Site Safety Plan, Site Rules and arrangements.
  • Take instruction from assigned Mechanical Supervisors for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
  • Carry out Pipe fitting and machine building works on mechanical systems and their components for the purpose of ensuring the condition meet standards of previous installations as developed with Benchmark Catalogues.
  • Construct, fabricate and install piping systems and associated equipment including the removal of piping, equipment and hazards in a controlled manner.
  • Install the pipe and machine works on system to the customer requirements.
  • Perform decommissioning on piping systems and associated equipment including the removal of piping, equipment and hazards in a controlled manner.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of plant processing and related equipment including piping systems.
  • Read and interpret drawings, work packages and reference materials to ensure that the scope of a given job is fully understood and that all aspects of the job have been considered and comply with regulation.
  • Use established methods, procedures and other assembly techniques as directed in the building of automation equipment.
  • Work with other team members, maintenance groups, and operational departments to ensure cost effective maintenance and installation activities.
  • Report damage to equipment, and tools for the purpose of ensuring availability in a safe operating condition.
  • Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.
  • Undertake mechanical static checks recording within Static Check Sheets or site reporting tool.
  • Responds to emergency situations during and after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
  • Transports a variety of tools, equipment and supplies for the purpose of ensuring the availability of materials required at job site.
  • Protect the mechanical systems from damage during installation.
  • Liaise with contractors as instructed.
  • Attend toolbox talk, safety stand down and other safety related meetings on site.
  • Undertake lifting activities in a controlled manner in accordance with Lifting AP requirements.

· Engage in problem solving where appropriate regarding site activities.

· Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing the applicable codes and regulations.
