We cater to those interested in visiting the highlights of the Canadian Rocky Mountains and guests interested in exploring easy to moderate summer and winter hikes.

Positions available, starting May 2023:

Tour guide and facilitator(s): full-time, part-time.

We are looking for a passionate individual to facilitate our guest's once-in-a-lifetime trip in the Rockies. Tours include pick up and drop off of clients in our vehicles, set-up of lunch for clients, delivery of information about the area and sights visited. Tours are half days, full-days or multi-days with some overnight stays required for guides.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Preparing vehicles, pre and post-trip: fueling of vehicles.
  • Preparing paperwork for guests such as waivers.
  • Collect and greet guests at their accommodations. Client groups are private and generally 5 or less.
  • Leading hikes safely and enjoyably if a hiking tour.
  • Driving to various locations and introducing clients to the area.
  • Ability to quickly adjust to unforeseen delays or hazards and provide enjoyable and safe alternatives.
  • Ability to develop a connection with clients of various cultural backgrounds, physical abilities, and expectations.
  • Collect pre-made meals from our local vendor prior to guest pickup.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Clean drivers abstract.
  • ACMG certification or Apprentice Interpretive Guide certification required Professional Interpretive guide preferred. Certifications must be current and in good standing.
  • Class 4 drivers’ licence or willingness to achieve one.
  • Wilderness First Aid – 40 hours or willingness to achieve this.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Significant work experience in customer service preferred.

Compensation

  • Pay starts from $22 per hour plus gratuities.
  • Reimbursement for certifications is available on an individual basis.
  • Paid training is provided
