Hitachi energy is a global leader in technology, and the largest supplier of transformers in the world. We are pioneering the digitalization of transformers, while working on the frontier of renewable energy and ultra-high voltage AC & DC applications.

Perform necessary operations required to make repairs to all types of transformers and associated auxiliary equipment. Must have a good background and knowledge of manufacturing operations. Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings.

Your responsibilities

Perform all operations required to make the necessary repairs such as:

• Complete HSE, Quality and Operations documents as required
• Assist in the incoming inspection and disassembly of the unit
• Assist in the reassembly of the active part as per the assembly drawings and pictures
• Make the necessary connections (i.e., braze, crimp, bolt etc.) as required
• Assist in preparing the active part for the dry-out process
• Remove active part from oven, perform a final inspection, tighten and re-tank
• Assemble the unit and prepare it for Final Test Prepare the unit for shipment
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Your background

• Preferably a college certificate from a technical program or Grade 12 secondary schooling with 3 years manufacturing experience.
