Work environment

The Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Directorate is looking for highly motivated TDG Developmental Inspectors, at the TI-05 level, all across the country!

What does this mean?
Developmental inspectors are provided with on-the-job training and learning opportunities to acquire technical knowledge, gain enforcement experience and develop critical skills and abilities so that, after a maximum of 2 years, they may be promoted to TDG Inspectors (TI-06).

Education
ED: A secondary school diploma or acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience
EX1: Experience in analyzing data in order to provide advice and recommendations.

EX2: Experience in consolidating information from multiple sources, reviewing and preparing various documents such as reports, procedures or briefings.

EX3: Experience in participating in working groups, or project teams, in a collaborative environment.

EX4: Recent experience* in using Microsoft software (such as Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Recent experience* is understood to mean approximately three CUMULATIVE years of work experience in the past 5 years.

Education
AED: Post-secondary diploma related to the job

Degree equivalency

Experience
AEX1: Experience in a regulatory/legislative work environment.

AEX2: Experience in technical writing (policies, procedures, guidelines, inspection reports, etc.)

AEX3: Experience in communicating with the public about regulatory and technical subjects.

AEX4: Experience in conducting inspections and/or investigations.
