Unity Game Developer Job at Fluffy Dog Studio
Fluffy Dog Studio is an independent game studio based in Vancouver, Canada. We create story-filled worlds in a creative and inclusive studio environment.
We are seeking an experienced Unity Game Developer.
In this position, the developer will work closely with the Producer and Lead Developer to architect game systems, implement features, create technical documentations and optimize game performance.
What you’ll do:
- Help project lead in identifying project scope and technical requirements.
- Assist in making architectural and resource allocation decisions.
- Own the implementation of new game mechanics or the improvement of existing systems.
- Coordinate with Producers and Game Designers to discuss feature direction.
- Provide direction, estimation, and tracking of tasks.
- Explore sustainable/flexible approaches for tool and system improvements.
- Identify training opportunities for all members of the team.
- Work collaboratively with developers of all skill levels (ex. code reviews, peer programming).
- Suggest improvements to the team work cycle and development processes.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and constant improvement opportunities.
What you know/have:
- Five years of Unity development experience
- Proficiency in C#
- Experience with the full production cycle of a project, from prototype to release
- Familiarity with optimization for Unity and platform specific needs
- Capable of independently handling technical designs and implementations
- Proficient in version control systems and practices
- Deep understanding of memory allocation and time complexity
- Experience in mentoring junior devs
- At least 2 shipped titles
