Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is Central Ontario’s largest and most advanced health centre, providing the greatest range of care to the communities we serve. Offering the area’s regional programs for cancer, heart, stroke, and child and youth mental health, RVH plays a vital role in the lives of permanent and seasonal residents in the Simcoe Muskoka region.

RVH Foundation mobilizes the community to support the world-class, life-saving work of RVH. The Donor Experience Coordinator (University/College student opportunity) for the Foundation is responsible for providing assistance and support in the development and execution of all donor acknowledgement, recognition, stewardship and engagement from May – September.

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in University/College in events, fundraising, communications, or related field

Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Professional or personal experience/education in photography, video production, social media, and/or graphic design an asset
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle an asset

Competencies:

  • Superior writing and editing skills with a track record of accurate, thorough, and high-quality work.
  • Proactive self-starter who works collaboratively but is comfortable initiating projects and working autonomously.
  • Connection to the Simcoe Muskoka region an asset
  • Knowledge of how philanthropy supports health care and benefits patient care an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the execution of stewardship and recognition functions for Foundation programs across all giving levels
  • Provide administrative assistance in the managing of projects related to donor experience including reports, letters and other pertinent stewardship materials, helping to ensure materials are delivered on time
  • Assist in the planning and execution of donor tours and stewardship events, including following tasks on a workback schedule, assisting in communications, attending meetings and taking minutes, creating action items and assisting in all related follow-up
  • Help to coordinate publicity for major gifts and naming announcements, as well as support for community cheque presentation photo opportunities
  • Assist in maintaining up to date in-hospital recognition inventory, as well as all other stewardship and recognition documentation and tracking.
  • This position will require weekend and evening work and there will not be any overtime required.
