Shkopich is now operating as PROTEX ENVIRONMENTAL and services commercial, industrial and institutional organizations in solid waste disposal and recycling, industrial cleaning vacuum truck services, used oil materials recovery and recycling, and other specialized services.

Position & Scope

The Vacuum / Hydrovac Truck Operator position is responsible to perform a very diverse range of activities within our company including: car wash interceptor pit cleaning, sewage loading and hauling, hydro-excavating, hazardous waste loading and hauling, confined space entry, and hazardous materials spill clean up. Training for (and operation of) roll-off, front-end, and side-load waste and recycling collection equipment, container maintenance, equipment maintenance, buildings and facilities work, and other duties as assigned. The Operator will require a high level of professionalism and customer service, which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote Protex Environmental's service throughout Saskatchewan.

Key Accountabilities

  • Follow schedules and service orders in accordance with the Service Coordinator's instructions
  • Provide exceptional on-site service to customers and continuously promote Protex's service offerings
  • Complete service paperwork in accordance with Protex and TDG regulations
  • Safely operate all required transport equipment & ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab, components and other assigned equipment
  • Participate in the Protex safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.

Requirements

  • (Preferred) Class 1 Drivers License however a clean drivers abstract is required
  • Able to work independently
  • Customer service experience
  • TDG knowledge and experience
  • Self-motivated attitude
  • Experience working in a safety sensitive environment
  • Ability to work out of town and overnight trips up to three days at a time

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
