About the role:
The Network Engineer (Video) is an important member of the Engineering team responsible for the building and implementation of Eastlink’s video-related services and systems. Responsible for the on-schedule deployment of Eastlink new video services, the Network Engineer also will be involved in content management and life-cycle maintenance existing network systems. The Network Engineer will interact with Broadcasters as well, and individuals throughout Eastlink’s Engineering and Operations groups.
The ideal candidate will be a customer service and process-oriented individual with the skill required to manage multiple time-sensitive projects with a high level of detail. A team player, the ideal candidate can communicate on a professional level with key stakeholders while working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education, Bachelor of Engineering degree preferred
  • Understanding of networks and their functionality
  • Exposure to capital and expense budget management would be beneficial
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Previous telecommunications or cable network experience an asset
