Sewer Maintenance and Rehabilitation Company requires a laborer in our Video Inspection department. Thuro Inc. Mainline Video Inspection crew utilizes CCTV Inspection equipment to assess the condition of Underground Infrastructure. Video Inspection laborer to assist lead operator on mainline CCTV Inspection jobs (Commercial, Industrial, Residential). Some residential/commercial service line inspections may also occur.

· $22-$24 to start depending on previous experience

· Experience an asset, will train the right candidate

Duties

· Assist lead video inspection operator with equipment set-up and operation

· Act as safety watch, traffic watch, and spotter as needed

· Complete confined space entry into manholes to launch equipment

· Completing paperwork as required (safety paperwork, job logs, timesheets etc.)

· Minor servicing and maintenance of vehicles & equipment (Cleaning, greasing etc.)

· General labor & housekeeping duties (on-site & at shop)

· Assisting other operators in performing their duties

· Responding to emergency call outs

· Related duties as required

Skills & Qualifications

· Physically demanding position, able to work long days and withstand working outdoors in all weather conditions

· Ability to lift at least 75 lbs

· Ability to communicate with members of the public, staff, other operators

· Ensure safe working conditions are maintained

· Working under pressure/tight deadlines independently with minimal supervision

· Attention to detail, Mechanical Aptitude, Critical thinking and Problem-Solving abilities highly valued

Requirements

· Steel toed boots required

· CSTS 2020

· Passing pre-employment drug testing & criminal record check

· Minimum mandatory CLEAN, valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License

· Must have reliable transportation (transportation from shop to site provided)

· Must be willing to work long hours/overtime, evenings, and occasional weekends

· Some out-of-town work may be required, meals & accommodation will be paid

Salary: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
