We are currently looking for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor to join our team in our Belleville branch, located at 405 College Street E., Belleville, ON. If you are a dynamic, motivated, self-starter why not join our team and put your career on a path to success!

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Sunday - Thursday

4:00pm - 12:30am

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise, coordinate and delegate all aspects of warehouse from shipping, receiving and counter departments, ensures shipments are tracked correctly and trucks are dispatched expeditiously.
  • Oversees incoming freight.
  • Coordinates stocking of regular stock into inventory and prompt processing of special material.
  • Assist counter staff to ensure customers are served quickly and efficiently.
  • Make all necessary labour moves to ensure that the workload is properly covered.
  • Responsible for assisting in coordinating training and supporting Warehouse Supervisor in the hiring process of all his/her personnel.
  • Responsible for Job Evaluations for all his/her own personnel.
  • Ensures all equipment is in good condition and properly maintained. Makes recommendations for equipment purchases.
  • Ensures warehouse is properly maintained regarding cleanliness and ensures warehouse safety standards are maintained.
  • Executes any other duties required to perform the position and/or requested by his/her immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • 2 Years experience working in a warehousing environment, preferably within a Plumbing & Heating wholesale environment
  • Computer related courses (PC and Mainframe Applications), an asset
  • Health & Safety training courses, an asset
  • Supervisory related training and development programs, an asset
  • Logistics or warehouse management training courses, an asset
  • Ability to respond positively to all situations that may occur
  • Quick thinker and able to handle pressure
  • Knowledge of delivery areas
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Policies
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and manage staff
