We manufacture a highly complex Custom HVAC units for commercial and industrial market, worldwide.

Over the years, sales have increased dramatically and now ICE Western has a state of the art industrial manufacturing facility located on 5 acres in South Foothills Industrial Park Calgary Alberta. In May 2016, we added an extra 40,000 square feet addition to our existing facility, allowing us to address the demand for our products. Manufacturing Welder will be certified and comply with CSA 47.1 and 59 standards and all of the requirements as outlined by the Canadian Welding Bureau. Safely work within the production team to achieve a consistent high level of quality and productivity in all aspects of the job.


You bring the following:

  • Supervisory manufacturing experience 5 years minimum
  • Leadership skills
    • Training staff
    • Delicate tasks
    • Create structure, flow,
    • Create costing process for welding material
    • Order welding material
    • Work well with others
    • Capable of working within a fast paced environment
    • Ability to follow direction, remain alert, and maintain a high level of concentration
    • Have good judgement and the ability to react quickly
    • Supervise and lead a team of minimum 20 employees
  • Will be building skids/base frames and frames of all sizes
  • Will be welding heat exchangers
  • Must have fitting experience
  • Must have the ability to fit and weld according to blueprint drawings
  • Must have the ability to read and understand blueprint drawings
  • Be familiar with the production & QC inspection process
  • Skilled at using equipment such as – grinders, torches, chop saw, drill press and other hand tools
  • Responsible to wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Quality and consistency in welds is a must. Most welding is done in the flat position and in such all materials are rolled and welded
  • Must attend, and partake in all pre-job, post job, and monthly safety meetings

  • CWB Certified all positions
  • Journeyman Welder Certification
  • Welding Supervisor Steel Course is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of, or training in, WHMIS, OSSA is considered an asset

  • Vice grip clamps or bessey clamps

  • Center punch
  • Extension cord
  • Die grinder straight body or 90
  • Flashlight
  • Wire cutters
  • Chipping hammer

Mandatory Schedule:

Monday to Thursday

10 hours a day, Start time 6 AM.

Every Friday 4 hours from 6 AM. Overtime may be required during the week.

44 hours regular time a week.
