Work-from-home part-time accountant

Position overview

Vertec Communications Inc., a growing BC Telecommunications Company, is looking for an experienced
part-time Accountant. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for Account Payable
processing bills and Visa transactions. This is an evolving and hands-on position and responsibilities may
shift over time.

This position is completely remote work, a great opportunity for an experienced accountant to work
from home.

The successful candidate

You have at least 2 years of general accounting experience in a small to medium size company.

You are proficient in Outlook, Excel (ability to use Macro, create advanced formula to enhance efficiency
is considered an asset) and QuickBooks Desktop.

You are used to working independently, you pride yourself in being detail oriented and flexible.

This position can be a part-time employee or a contractor. The compensation will be hourly pay billed on
actual working hours. The weekly working hours is 5 – 10 hours depending on the job load. Your
commitment of 1 or 2 hour per day for this position is preferred. The hourly rate is CAD28.00 + based on
experience.

Further to this, this is a newly created role because our job load for AP is less than a full-time position
but need an experienced one to completely the work with high quality and minimum training. We will
work with your strengths to help you be successful in your new role.
