Yard Laborer/ Equipment Operator Job at Fritz-Alder Precast
Fritz-Alder Precast is looking for competent people to join our yard team, supporting the Wetcast and Hollowcore Production Plants.
Successful candidates will be hard-working, organized and may have experience in scenarios of transporting concrete, or heavy products from production to storage (or job sites) by forklift, crane or other equipment (rigging and hand signal knowledge is an advantage, although training is provided); organizing the yard to stay efficient and clean with direction from the Yard Foreman; loading and unloading transports; moving and organizing raw and site materials as required.
The role involves keeping track of associated paperwork and documentation sign-off as associated with these duties.
All of the actions above are to be completed in the context of teamwork, so the ability to follow instruction and work with other operators safely and efficiently is a must.
Day and afternoon shifts are available. Successful candidates may be required to come in early or stay later on occasion to ensure loads are staged for the coming site requirements.
Working with concrete, steel, basic carpentry and minor mechanical maintenance would be an asset but not a requirement, as is experience with forklifts and crane operation.
We are looking for a person who is willing to do what it takes to get the job done efficiently, and is ready to support the team to complete tasks.
Wage is commensurate of experience.

Salary: $21.57-$26.10 per hour
