To meet the growing demand for our product we’re currently seeking an Accounting Assistant. Reporting to the CFO you will oversee accounting accuracy for the company.

In This Role You Will:

• Maintaining records and general ledger accounts
• Preparing journal entries, analysis, and accounts reconciliations
• Assisting with monthly close processes
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage day-to-day accounts payables and receivables
• Responsible for daily cash flow including bank reconciliations and payments
• Credit card and prepaid expense reconciliations
• Complete credit applications
• Prepare monthly and quarterly banking requirements
• Preparing quarterly IFTA filing
• Overseeing GST/PST reporting
• Tracking intercompany transactions
• Assist in preparation of requested reports
• Assist in grant applications and reporting
• Identify opportunities for improvement in internal controls and processes and address them

We’re Looking For:

• Thorough understanding of provincial and federal tax laws
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
• Ability to work independently
• Obtained and/or working towards a professional accounting designation
• Deep knowledge towards technology and automation in processes
• An understanding of manufacturing
