Accounting Student - Hybrid Job at Ontario Energy Board

We are currently seeking a student to join our team as a Finance Student. This position reports to the Manager of Finance and Risk. In this role you will have the opportunity to gain work experience that will complement your academic studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the accounts payable and receiveable functions
  • Assist in analysis of expenses and expenditures
  • Help mature the OEB’s risk management program and support the internal audit function
  • Help create and revise financial polices
  • Review and create presentations to the Executive Leadership Committee and the Board of Directors
  • Provide other support to the Finance and Information Technology Division as needed
Qualifications:
  • Completion of 2nd or 3rd year of an accounting program registered in a co-op program at a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Demonstrated coursework related to the process optimization or policy development, risk management, financial accounting and internal audit is an asset
  • Ability to gather, analyze and compile data, then create visualizations to explain the findings (e.g., graphs and charts)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
All Ontario Energy Board Employees are required to be fully vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine series, approved by Health Canada, as a condition of hire. Should you be the successful candidate, you will be required to comply with the OEB’s Mandatory Vaccination Policy that is in effect.
