We are excited to partner with our client, a west Edmonton based organization in their search for an experienced Office & Accounts Payable Administrator to join their team!

The Opportunity

Our well established Edmonton client is looking for an Office & Accounts Payable Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. To excel in this role, you must be tech savvy, and a quick learner of new computer programs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, along with a strong understanding of basic accounts payable tasks and experience in general office functions. Working within a tight knit high energy office you will be responsible for the following duties.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Administrative functions such as answering incoming phone calls, mail, and courier control, filing, and scanning of documents.
  • General word processing tasks.
  • Data entry of accounts payable.
  • Coding payables to the general ledger and reconciling statements and preparing payments.
  • Updating and managing various spreadsheets.
  • Other various tasks as they relate to the day to day business needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Post secondary education (accounting or office administration).
  • Strong reception and office administration skills.
  • Previous accounts payable experience.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills, must have strong MS Excel knowledge.
  • Experience with Sage and/or similar accounting program.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders/tracking.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must thrive while working in a busy fast paced environment.
  • Must be a confident, professional self-starter with exceptional communication skills and have the ability to multitask.
  • Must enjoy working in a team based environment and be professional, courteous and friendly with all internal and external clients.
