Accounts Payable Specialist Job at DXP | HSE Integrated Ltd.
DXP/HSE is looking for Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team!
This postion will be responsdible to perform data entry and related duties in disbursing non-payroll accounts payable to individuals, suppliers, corporations, and other entities. This will include maintaining ledgers, credit balances, and account irregularities. The Accounts Payable Specialist will also ensure that payment documents such as purchase orders, travel reimbursements, stipends, and any other accounting transactions related to accounts payable management are processed in a timely manner.
Location: Calgary, Dowtown Location. Working on-site.
Requirements for this positon are (but not limited to):
- Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration diploma, 2+ years of experience within a high volume accounts payable environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions
- Able to perform moderate to complex account reconciliations
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls
- Experience with accounting systems, spreadsheet and other accounting applications considered an asset
- Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
