Reliance Appraisal Consultants requires an experienced, detail-oriented, team player to fill a temporary full-time administrative assistant position to cover a leave of absence. This position is ideal for a mature candidate who may be semi-retired or with parenting demands wanting temporary full-time employment with the possibility of moving into a permanent seasonal or part-time position for the right applicant.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of professionalism and must exercise appropriate judgement in handling time-sensitive and confidential assignments. Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Front of office reception and general administrative duties
  • Responding to client inquiries, requests, and opening files
  • Collecting payment from clients
  • Performing research on government and industry-specific sites
  • Editing, proofreading, formatting, and assembling reports
  • Assisting staff with a variety of tasks as needed

Skills and capabilities required are:

  • Competence with computers, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent proof reading and editing skills
  • Excellent communication skills (telephone, in-person, and written), along with highly developed interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Flexible work style to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and stay on task
  • Real estate knowledge/interest an asset
  • Minimum two years front office or administrative assistant experience

Experience:

  • Front office / admin: 2 years (preferred)
  • Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
