BBB is a not-for-profit organization committed to being the leader in advancing marketplace trust. For more than 100 years, Better Business Bureau has helped consumers find trustworthy businesses.

We are looking for a Complaint Administrator to join our Consumer Services Department. The successful candidate will assist in resolving marketplace disputes with businesses located throughout the GTA and Central Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Intake and handling of consumer complaints.
  • Facilitate communication between consumers and businesses in an effort to help both parties reach a mutually satisfactory outcome.
  • Act as a neutral third party in facilitating BBB dispute resolution processes in accordance with BBB policies and practices.
  • Answer questions about the process and provide helpful information and suggestions to both parties.
  • Coach both businesses and consumers on how to respond effectively when in conflict and guide them toward resolution.
  • Publish complaints for public viewing on bbb.org.
  • Actively participate as a member of the team toward the completion of goals and a positive workplace environment.
  • Assist, educate and encourage business leaders to create a marketplace where buyers and sellers can trust each other.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Positive and enthusiastic!
  • Conflict resolution experience.
  • Ability to remain neutral and professional in challenging situations.
  • Familiar with G-Suite applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • High tolerance for stress and competing priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and listening skills.
