About the role

The candidate for this role will support the warehouse/stockroom/operations. Some of the candidates standard tasks can be expected to include the below:
  • Receive trucks and unload merchandise.
  • Control administrative and physical conformity of materials.
  • Check in merchandise and affix labels.
  • Place materials in storage area.
  • Fulfill picking orders.
  • Move materials off racks and package for shipment or delivery to the line.
  • Move materials to store or buffer area.
  • Pack, unpack and stage materials.
  • Carry out tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor / manager.
  • Perform operations according to aerospace standards.
  • Follow all quality and safety rules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Depending on the business needs, the candidates may have to work on the afternoon or weekend schedule.

What you bring to the role

  • Minimum of 2 years general knowledge of warehouse/stockroom environment.
  • Self-motivated and can act on own initiative
  • Must be detail-oriented with good mathematical abilities.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed but non-technical written or oral instructions.
  • Must have ability to work as a team member to achieve the company’s quality and production standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with production employees and managers, often under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to key in data, type, and operate a computer keyboard.
  • Must have basic math skills, read pick lists, data printouts, bills of material and other documents. Accuracy of data entry, accounts and record keeping is essential.
  • Must be bilingual (French and English)

Additional skills desired for the role

  • Forklift experience a plus but not required
  • Experience in Aeronautical operations an asset
