2000 Collision Express & Glass is seeking an experienced Full-Time Automotive refinish technician to join our team immediately.

We are a busy, ICBC certified valet shop and we are seeking quality, time efficient and tidy workmanship.

We have the newest up to date equipment including aluminum repair and many OEM certifications.

Automotive refinish technician Duties include:

• Removing layers of sub-coating; matching colours and mixing paints
• Preparing metal surfaces for painting by spot filling, sanding, and masking; applying primers, primer surfaces, colour coats, and clearcoats
• Cleaning and polishing painted surfaces including removing and replacing decals
• Providing quality paint work on all claim sizes varying from small repairs to large
• Keeping workstation clean

Experience Required:

• MUST be Red Seal Ticketed
• 2-5 years automotive painting and refinishing experience required.
• Prior refinish experience – sanding, masking, prepping, blending, top coat applications for refinishing vehicles to automotive specification standards.
• Automotive paint color matching experience and ability to follow technical support data to meet OEM color match.
• Knowledge of auto manufacturers’ repair/refinishing processes.
• Experience using waterborne basecoat systems preferred.
• History of working independently and in a team environment.
• Highly organized, detail oriented and ability to multi-task.

Physical Requirements:

• Extended periods of kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping.
• Carry and lift heavy objects. (up to 50lbs)
• Standing, sitting and walking.
• Performing repetitive motions.
• Visual acuity for colour matching.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From $30.00 per hour
